Environment and Theology

Romans 8:19-21 (NIV)

"The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God"

PICEA understands that environment and theology are directly linked. It is our belief that we are to be stewards of creation. We are to be active and involved in bringing healing and wholeness to creation, facilitating the relationship between humanity, God's creation and God.

We have a specific mandate to look after the natural world, to work and cherish all of humanity, to love God, and to bring his redemption and renewal into being.  As a member of PICEA you will be able to take part in online discussions and debate, challenging your understanding of what it means to be a Christian within the context of the environmental sector, in a world that is suffering. Connect with the sharpest minds from universities and businesses across the world, peer review papers, discuss and grow in your wisdom and understanding!
